Issuers and Servicers can maintain loan statuses on-line. Loan
tracking statuses are predefined by the Housing Finance Agency.
Tracking statuses represent the detailed chronological stages through
which a loan progresses. The tracking status is determined when a
specific date associated with the status is entered.
These instructions explain how to maintain loan statuses on-line
using the Loan Status screen. A sample screen is shown
below.
The system determines the tracking status by reading from the bottom
status up. The first status in the system (reading from the bottom
up) with a valid date (a date other than 00/00/0000) represents the
current tracking status of the loan. For example, in the sample
screen shown below, reading from the bottom status (Complete) up, the
first tracking status with a valid date is "App Non
Compliance". The current tracking status for the loan in this
example is "App Non Compliance".
From the Loan Detail screen,
choose Status to access the Loan Status screen. Once you have accessed the Loan
Status screen,
you can view all stages of the tracking statuses for a loan. To modify
a tracking status for a loan, input the date upon which the loan
reached the tracking status in the "Date" column, and
choose Submit to submit the data changes. Choose Back
if you do not want to make any changes.
